Introduction
It's been a few years now since the launch of OpenAI's ChatGPT platform where the general internet users can leverage the power of AI without too much technical knowledge on what it is and how to use it, just a normal regular chatting platform. And then the time when Google announced Gemini, another chat platform that uses AI to process users messages and give them helpful or informative responses, also in the form of a chatting platform.
But the development of these platforms are not cheap! They required billions of dollars of resources to develop and operate.
But now comes deepseek! A chinese startup product that was newly launched and with just a portion of the price for the development compared to its rival such as OpenAI. With US $5.58 Million, DeepSeek V3 comes with 671 billion parameters crushing away the competiton with other existing models in various areas.

To give us an idea, from the DeepSeek's website is a tabulated benchmarking to show us how well it is performing in comparison with the existing models and AI products.
Now these are not all the metrics there is. If the data presented here are accurate, we are looking at a competitive rival for the existing ones we have, the one most the people are using, ChatGPT.

As a new user of the program, I can already tell that the response we get is far more faster that chatgpt. Also, according to their documents, its last training cut off was on 2023, which is definitely newer that of that of OpenAI which was on 2021.
