OpenFlow for Mac

OpenFlow is a Mac app for the hydraulics of open channels. Describe a channel, choose the value you don't have, and OpenFlow solves Manning's equation for it: discharge, water depth, bed slope or a dimension of the section.

What it does

• Rectangular, trapezoidal, circular and irregular (surveyed) channels.
• Flow area, wetted perimeter, hydraulic radius, top width, velocity, hydraulic depth and discharge per unit width.
• Froude number, critical depth and velocity, and whether the flow is subcritical or supercritical.
• A stage-discharge rating curve with its table, and a drawing of the section.
• Every channel saved in the sidebar, grouped by shape, with undo.

Get OpenFlow

OpenFlow is a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store, with no subscription and no in-app purchases. It runs on macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Results are for study and preliminary design.
